Greetings from Patagonia!
Hey Folks,
Today I am in Patagonia with my buddy Rafal. We just finished seeing the Perito Moreno Glacier in El Calafate and Mount Fitz Roy in El Chaltén and now are in Puerto Natales to see the Torres del Paine.
My toe kinda hurts from ice climbing and walking with crampons. nothing like walking on a glacier for a coupla hours to make those feet feel fresh and new again.
Ill write more when internet doesnt cost four or five dollars an hour.
oh, one more thing. Since 525 Chilean Pesos equals one dollar I am in effect a millionaire! Heck yea! Millionaire by the age i am 26...atta baby!

I was a millionaire once, too! I was in Poland just before a currency reform that hacked a factor of 1,000 (yes, one thousand) off the coins & bills. Thus, a new "10" coin was worth 10,000 of the old. The Polish called them zloty; we called them spacebucks 'cause the prices seemed astronomical. 4,000 (or 4) for a big beer pretzel, etc. The best part was that both the old and new currency was simultaneosly in circulation so paying for anything turned into an adventure in being hustled.
Oops...the previous anony "spacebucks" entry was
